Suzy’s Yoga Therapy for Beginners is a powerful healing practice that uses breath and gentle movements to increase range of motion in all the major joints of the body. This gentle form of yoga is ideal for anyone wanting to increase flexibility, deepen breath capacity, or to deeply de-stress at the end of the day. All postures are modified to fit your body, and classes are catered to the needs of each student. If you have never practiced yoga before, if you have specific concerns in your body, if you want to learn how to better care for your body, this is the class for you!
Fairly Gentle Yoga with Cindy
8:30 ~ 9:30 am
Fairly Gentle Yoga class is like a mini vacation for your brain. We’ll do some relaxing, quieting the mind, bring some awareness to your breath and set a different pace for your day, all the while stretching and strengthening your body. We learn to work with what we’ve got at the moment and move forward from there, leaving class stronger and refreshed.

Cindy Ristow, CRYT
Fairly Gentle Yoga at the Center
The first time Cindy heard the word Yoga was as a child during an episode of The Brady Bunch. Although intrigued by the man doing a headstand, it was many years later before she was to begin her own practice. Cindy discovered that yoga was an excellent place to find the quiet that escaped her in the rest of her life. One thing led to another and with the encouragement of her long time yoga teacher, Cindy found herself enrolled in a teacher training program, finally obtaining that headstand and graduating in 2008 from 8 Limbs Yoga in Seattle. When she is not practicing yoga, Cindy is busy with her four children, husband and homestead. She can be reached at 360.770.6688.
Aidan Ristow, CYT
Fairly Gentle Yoga at the Center
Aidan completed her yoga certification in January of 2016 at Shoshoni School of Yoga in Colorado. Her mother, Cindy, is also a yoga instructor, so Aidan has been exposed to this practice since her elementary years. Aidan is drawn to yoga for its properties of stress and anxiety relief, and how focused and strong it makes her feel. For Aidan, yoga is not all about flexibility (as many people believe and fear), but about the strength, focus, and breath. Aidan loves sharing her love of yoga with other people, to help them notice their bodies and release any tension and stress. Being a recent graduate from Sedro Woolley High School in 2014 and Skagit Valley College in 2017, Aidan understands and can relate to the pressures of being a student. Her yoga practice has helped her grow stronger and more confident, both mentally and physically, and on and off the mat.
