INTRODUCING THE FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN

WITH SUZY CORNELL, LMP, CPT, STRUCTURAL MEDICINE SPECIALIST

The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is the product of an exercise philosophy known as Functional Movement Systems. This exercise philosophy and corresponding set of resources is based on sound science, years of innovation, and current research.

The Functional Movement Screen takes each participant through a series of 7 movement patterns/exercises to determine efficiency and functionality of movement in everyday activities, as well as sports and recreational activities.  It also screens for pain with activity, so that I can help a client to see what movements in their lives may be causing pain, and perhaps find a more efficient way to perform tasks that cause pain.   It is used to help me, the Practitioner, to develop stretching or strengthening exercises for that person to help them to achieve a better efficiency of movement.  The test helps determine if a client needs more flexibility, strength, motor control, core stability, or some combination of all these.

Clients will leave with at least one exercise to work on at home to help improve their movement capabilities.

PLUS IT’S FUN AND FREE!

Suzy will take appointments from 4:00pm to 7:30pm, Monday, October 27th, and from 10:00 to 5:00 pm, Saturday November the 8th.

Appointments will be scheduled for one every half hour, and there will be a 10 percent discount given to participants that schedule an appointment with me for a future Massage/Structural Bodywork/Functional Movement Lesson.

So bring your calendars!  🙂
